Karndean market themselves as a manufacturer of luxury vinyl flooring, and that pretty much sums them up. As a disclaimer, I actually have a Karndean floor in my living room, hallway and downstairs bathroom. We actually chose Karndean over Amtico because we were able to afford the same quality of flooring but at a much better price.

A Karndean floor is realistic, versatile, warm underfoot, quiet underfoot, durable, easily maintained, hygenic, highly customizable and affordable. To get that natural look and feel of textured real wood, Karndean flooring is made from a combination of pure virgin PVC mixed with high quality plasticizers. Installation of Karndean should be done by a professional fitter that has got previous experience installing Karndean or other vinyl floors. While it may look easy to do, we advise that you spend that little extra to get the job done right.

Bevels and borders

You can get various different types of finish ranging from smooth to textured. Karndean floors tend to be very realistic and mimic the appearance of their natural counterparts closely. However, as with any non-porous floor they can be slippy when wet. The other great thing about Karndean is the range of edges and borders available. While we selected a non-beveled edge for our hom you can get Karndean with 2 and 4 beveled edges. As for borders, well the choice is almost unbelievable.
